Ecological Assessment and Sustainable Management
Our Ecologist provides advice based on current research of target species and has extensive experience in Commonwealth environmental impact assessment and offset site management plans under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and / or relevant Federal legislation. A policy and management background are complemented with extensive on-ground experience in vertebrate pest management that allows AWM to offer a unique, policy and conservation-based perspective into effective feral species management. Our tailored management plans are based on pre-impact monitoring data of the site from on-ground or aerial thermal surveys, using state-of-the-art technology and a holistic array of best practice, ethical control methods for feral species management. Our plans can include specific information to suit individual reporting requirements such as:
-
pre-and post-control survey counts;
-
mapping of pest species evidence;
-
locations where animals have been seen and/or removed during control activities;
-
reporting on the successful outcomes of the program, and
-
future / ongoing management recommendations for decision makers.
